About iorad
What is iorad and what is it used for?
iorad is a digital learning tool that automatically captures any workflow as a step-by-step interactive guide. Teams use iorad to build employee training, customer onboarding, and software documentation, without recording video or writing instructions manually.
Does iorad limit how many tutorials you can create?
No. All iorad plans, including the free plan, include unlimited tutorial creation with no hidden caps or limits. There is no ceiling on the number of tutorials you can make.
How do I contact iorad support if I can't find my answer?
You can reach iorad support at support@iorad.com or via the chat widget on iorad.com. For support related issues, you can submit a ticket directly in our Help Center. Enterprise customers have access to dedicated support channels and faster response times.
How can I use iorad to train customers on new software or processes?
Use the iorad browser extension or desktop app to capture step-by-step walkthroughs of any software. Share them as links or embed them in your help center, LMS, or iorad Library. Learners can interact in Watch, Try, Scroll, Slide, Do, or Quiz mode, follow along, practice hands-on, or confirm understanding without live training.
Can I use iorad to create employee onboarding tutorials?
Yes. Capture any workflow or tool walkthrough using the iorad extension or desktop app, then publish it to a branded iorad Library or embed it directly in your intranet, LMS, or internal tools. New employees can work through tutorials at their own pace in Watch, Try, Scroll, Slide, Do, or Quiz mode without waiting on live training.
Can I use iorad to drive tech stack adoption and software rollouts?
Record step-by-step walkthroughs of any new tool using the iorad extension or desktop app. Embed those tutorials in your LMS, intranet, or directly in the tool itself so employees can learn in context. iorad Plans & Pricing
What is included in each iorad plan?
Every iorad plan includes unlimited tutorials, unlimited learners, and access to interactive learning modes. Visit our pricing page for a full feature breakdown.
What features do paid iorad plans include that the free plan doesn't?
Paid plans offer features such as adding media, masking, privacy, custom branding, analytics, team collaboration, and export functionality. Free plans allow unlimited tutorial creation with basic editing functionality which includes editing step text, adding or removing steps, and option of three iorad branded theme options.
Can multiple people share one iorad account?
While multiple users can share a single login, we don't recommend it. Shared accounts make it harder to track edits and manage access. Co-creator seats are available at a per-seat rate on Team or Enterprise plans.
How does iorad handle credit card and payment data?
What is iorad's refund policy?
iorad offers refunds within 30 days of a new subscription purchase. Renewals are generally non-refundable.Contact us to request a refund review.
Can I pay for iorad by invoice or purchase order instead of credit card?
Yes — invoice and purchase order payment is available for annual plans. Contact our sales team to arrange net-30 invoicing or a PO-based billing cycle.
How does team collaboration work in iorad?
Team plans let more than one user share a single team account for collaborative tutorial creation and shared content libraries. Enterprise plans extend this further — you can manage multiple separate teams within one enterprise account, making it easy to keep departments like HR, IT, and Sales organized in their own independent workspaces.
If I cancel my iorad subscription, will my tutorials still work?
Yes, when you cancel, your account reverts to the free plan and your existing tutorials remain accessible. Embeds continue working everywhere they're placed. You won't be able to edit tutorials or access paid features unless you upgrade again.
Capturing with iorad
Does iorad have a desktop app?
Yes. iorad offers a desktop app that works on any operating system. Use it to capture tutorials across any software on your computer, including desktop applications like Excel, Outlook, or enterprise tools that don't run in a browser. Follow these steps to download it alongside the browser extension.
How do I install the iorad browser extension?
You can install the iorad extension from the Chrome Web Store, or Microsoft Edge Add-ons. Enterprise IT teams can deploy the extension at scale via GPO (Windows), Jamf (Mac), or Intune for managed device rollouts.
Which browsers does iorad support for capturing tutorials?
iorad supports Chrome (recommended) and Microsoft Edge for tutorial capture. Safari and Firefox are not currently supported. For best performance and access to the latest capture features, use the latest version of Chrome.
Can iorad capture dropdown menus, hover states, and right-click menus?
Yes, iorad captures most standard interactions including dropdowns and right-click menus automatically. Hover states require a manual screenshot trigger during capture. Some complex dynamic UI elements may need an additional step inserted in the editor after recording.
Can iorad capture tutorials on a phone or tablet?
iorad does not have a native mobile capture app. To record a mobile workflow, mirror your phone or tablet to a desktop using a tool like Reflector or AirPlay, then capture with the iorad browser extension as usual. Learn How.
Is there a limit to how many steps an iorad tutorial can have?
There is no hard step limit per tutorial. However, if you attempt to capture a longer tutorial and your computer doesn’t have enough available memory, then you will lose your capture. It is best practice to record short bite sized chunks using the “add steps” option. Shorter tutorials (under 25 steps) are recommended as they typically have higher learner completion rates. For long processes, consider breaking the content into a series of shorter, linked tutorials for better engagement.
I captured a tutorial but it disappeared. Where did it go?
Captures are stored locally prior to being sent to the iorad servers. If you lost internet connection or your computer ran out of available memory during capture, your capture may be lost or corrupt. iorad will attempt to restore unsaved captures with the information it has saved in the local store but if you are not seeing a message to restore, then the capture has been lost.
Why won't iorad capture start even though the extension is installed?
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the iorad extension to clear out any stuck cookies & make sure you have the most up to date version. If your organization manages devices, IT may need to allowlist the iorad extension in your browser policy (GPO or MDM).

If I update an iorad tutorial, does it automatically update everywhere it is published?

Can I record my own voice as a voiceover in iorad?
Yes. Within the Media settings of any tutorial, you can use iorad’s native voice recorder to record your own voice or auto-generate a clone of your voice with ElevenLabs, which is in beta(Team plan and up). Voiceovers can be re-recorded for any individual step without redoing the whole tutorial, and you can mix human voiceover with text-to-speech where needed.
How do I add text-to-speech (TTS) audio to an iorad tutorial?
iorad includes built-in text-to-speech that reads your step descriptions aloud. You can select a TTS voice in the editor via the Media tab and apply it across all steps automatically. You can also record your own voice per step if you prefer a human voiceover. Learn How
Can I add a quiz or knowledge check to an iorad tutorial?
iorad includes a built-in Quiz Mode that enables you to remove the action highlight box and quizzes the user on what action they should take (click, type, etc) providing an self-assessment solution for learning on the fly. Simply activate it in the tutorial editor. You can also link to an external quiz tool if you need advanced question types or LMS grade passback. Learn How
What should I do if the iorad editor is not working correctly?

If the issue continues, submit a support ticket or reach out to support@iorad.com with your browser version and a description of the problem.

Yes — in Layout Options you can set the default mode to Watch, Try, Scroll, Slide, Do, or Quiz mode per tutorial. Note that embedded tutorials can be configured with a different default mode than shared links, giving you control over context-specific experiences.
Should I buy if I haven't tried the free plan yet?

Team plans include 1 custom branded theme. Enterprise plans include 5 custom themes, making it easy to manage multiple brands or department-specific styles from one account.

Will my iorad tutorials appear in Google search results?
